The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to extend the date for purchasing the Request for Quotation (RFQ) for acquiring Women’s Premier League’s partnership rights to February 20, 2023.
The date of submission of the Quotation has also been extended to February 22, 2023.
Earlier, the last date to purchase the RFQ was February 17, 2023
BCCI invited quotations through a tender process on February 9, 2023.
BCCI said in a statement, “The RFQ will be available to interested parties on receipt of payment of the tender fee of Rs 1,00,000 plus applicable GST. All other terms contained in the Invitation document shall be applicable.”
Jay Shah, Secretary, BCCI, said, “The BCCI reserves the right at its discretion to cancel or amend the tendering process at any stage without providing any reason. Merely buying the RFQ does not entitle the purchaser to bid, but to bid the purchaser must buy the RFQ in the name of the person/entity desiring to bid.”
The inaugural season of the Women's Premier League (WPL) will be played from March 4 to 26 in Mumbai.
The Brabourne Stadium and the DY Patil Stadium will host all the matches with the tournament opener expected to be played between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians-owned franchise.
