News18 Gujarati organises Rising Gujarat Conclave; channel's new look unveiled at event

News18 Gujarat organised its annual marquee event Rising Gujarat Conclave on May 12. The conclave marked an important milestone for News18 Gujarat as the channel’s new look was unveiled by Chief Minister of Gujarat - Bhupendra Patel.

The four-hour-long conclave brought the brilliant minds of Gujarat together and offered a glimpse into the future of the state. Constructive discussions on some of the pressing topics helped in getting a clearer picture of what can and needs to be done in coming times.

Also present on the occasion were eminent dignitaries such as Health Minister - Rushikesh Patel, Women and Child Development Minister - Manish Vakil, Education Minister - Jitu Vaghani, Home Minister - Harsh Sanghavi, who engaged in cerebral discussions pertaining to the various policies and necessary steps to be taken by the state to continue on its path of development.

The first session of the conclave welcomed Jitu Vaghani who spoke at length about the development of higher education opportunities and the implementation of new education policies that would bring world-class education to the students of Gujarat. Furthermore, he also shed light on the state’s ‘No student is left behind’ philosophy along with the steps taken by the education department to ensure transparency in examinations and job surety.

Taking the conversation ahead, Harsh Sanghavi, presented his views on important issues such as women safety and security, intrastate peace and curbing the drug menace. He also brought to the fore the fact that with its swift and strict punishments for crimes against women, Gujarat has become the safest state in the country.

Talking about the strides the state has taken towards the rights and living conditions of women and children in Gujarat, Manishaben Vakil in the third session of the conclave shared the numerous initiatives that have been implemented to ensure the development in this sector.

In the fourth and final segment of the conclave, Rushikesh Patel spoke about the various projects and accomplishments by the Health Department.

Culminating the event on a high note was the launch of News18 Gujarati’s new look by the CM of Gujarat. He congratulated the News18 Gujarati team on their efforts for bringing Rising Gujarat Conclave to a national platform and shared that the work done by the state is the reason behind bringing Gujarat to where it stands now.
