boAt salutes the spirit of their new ‘boAthead’ Prathamesh Sinha through a unique scholarship

The scholarship in the form of a ‘Special Needs Instructor’ is aimed to ensure that Sinha gets quality education under the #DoWhatFloatsYourboAt initiative

Prathamesh Sinha, an 11-year-old visually impaired boy shot to fame with his appearance on ‘Shark Tank India’. The brand has surprised him with a unique scholarship specially crafted for him, in the form of a ‘Special Needs Instructor’ to ensure that he gets the quality education that he deserves.

boAt has pledged to fund all the requirements of a special shadow teacher who will closely work with the boy to help achieve his highest potential and strive to progress beyond his limitations.

The inspiration that he draws from his favourite Shark, Aman Gupta, and the way he relentlessly pursues his passions, swayed the team to get him on-board as the newest and youngest boAthead. 

To fulfill his dream of spending a day with his favourite shark, the team also invited Prathamesh for a fun-filled day at their office. He spent his day living the boAt life and creating memories with boAt, Co-founder Gupta.

He caught a glimpse of what goes on inside boAt. As Sinha has always wanted to grow up to be a motivational speaker, he was brought on-stage at boAt’s Annual Leadership Meet where he shared his story with the whole team and left everyone teary-eyed.

Re-collecting his first meeting, Gupta said, “I still remember when I had my first interaction with Prathamesh at the sets of Shark Tank. His positive outlook and indomitable spirit made him stand out. I was in total shock as I have never seen someone so motivated at this young age. He's always expressed his love for the brand. It gives me immense pleasure to introduce him as our newest boAthead. He lives our brand spirit #DoWhatFloatsYourBoat in true avatar. Our initiative to award him a unique scholarship is just a small step to ensure a fulfilling and empowering educational environment for him.”

In recent past, the brand had also joined hands with Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation (KSCF) to launch a talent development programme for children—Meri Awaz Suno (Hear Me Roar)— across four urban slum communities in Delhi.
