Netflix India's Tara Kapur calls it quits

Tara Kapur

Tara Kapur, Co-Lead, Series Marketing at Netflix India, has decided to move on after close to three years of association.

Kapur made her decision of moving on from the streaming platform known through a post on LinkedIn. In the post she also pointed out that she is ready to take on her new role and the ensuing challenges at a new role.

“Saying goodbye to Netflix has definitely been one of the hardest decisions I have had to make. It’s been 3 years of working at one of the best and biggest companies in the business, it’s a brand I’ve always loved (and will continue to do so), and most importantly, it’s where I’ve gotten to work with the most incredible colleagues across the globe, who I will definitely miss. But as sad as I am to leave, I am equally excited about what lies ahead- a new role and challenge that I’m ready to take on,” her post on LinkedIn read.

She had joined Netflix India in January 2020 as a Social Marketing Manager, and then went on to become Films and Series Marketing Manager in April 2021. She was then elevated to the role of Co-Lead, Series Marketing in January 2022.

Prior to joining Netflix India, Kapur had served in various capacities at organisations like Vice Media, Supari Studios, Times Network and more. She was also the Founding Member and Content Head at Vitamin Stree.

Her next move is still unclear.
