Marico appoints GCPL's Somasree Bose Awasthi as its new CMO

Marico has announced the appointment of Somasree Bose Awasthi as the new Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Committee Member.

Prior to this, Bose was the Chief Marketing Officer at Godrej Consumer Products. 

Marico announced the development through a LinkedIn post, in which it said that her wealth of experience will contribute significantly at Marico. 

“We are delighted to welcome Somasree Bose Awasthi to Marico. She joins us as the Chief Marketing Officer and will be an Executive Committee Member at Marico. She comes with over nineteen years of experience across Consumer Products and FMCG Industry. We are confident that with her wealth of experience, she will contribute significantly to take Marico to greater heights,” the post read.

Bose has almost two decades of experience in the industry. She joined GCPL in 2007 as the Deputy General Manager (Marketing). In 2012, she became the General Manager (Marketing) for personal care, household insecticides and Aircare categories. She then became the Head of Marketing in the Homecare category in 2019. 

In 2021, Bose became the Chief Marketing Officer (India) at GCPL.
