How brands are celebrating Raksha Bandhan in 2022

This year, brands are exploring themes of love, friendship and companionship between siblings

Raksha Bandhan is a festival that celebrates the bond between siblings traditionally between brothers and sisters, However, the festival has evolved and people today also celebrate the bonds between friends, parents, siblings and others who make a difference in their lives.

BestMediaInfo.com tried to find out how brands celebrated the festival this year:

Asian Paints: The brand took a unique approach towards the relationship between siblings with their campaign titled, ‘First Roommates’. The campaign pinpoints the light-hearted fights, shared between siblings.

The brand released a film called, ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Tera Kona Hai’ to depict the same.

Cadbury Celebrations: Cadbury Celebrations is probably the only brand that has year-on-year released memorable campaigns for Raksha Bandhan and Diwali each year.

This year the brand launched its campaign titled #Connected Rakhi which focuses on reminding people to stay connected on special occasions like Raksha Bandhan. The brand launched a range of Bluetooth-enabled rakhis and an app that lets people record their messages to each other.

SBI General Insurance: The brand launched a film titled #BandhanBharoseKa which highlights the bond between siblings in supporting each other through the challenges of life across various life stages.

McDonald’s India- The fast-food chain launched a brand film highlighting the different flavours between siblings. The film has been conceptualised by DDB Mudra and showcases the banter which goes on between a brother-sister duo and how the love for McDonald’s makes them come together.
