Hyundai shows grandeur of SUV life in new TVC

The campaign by Innocean Worldwide illustrates each of the Hyundai SUV clan members, Venue, Creta, Tucson and Kona Electric thriving in their natural habitat and delivering build quality along with driving pleasure

Car-maker Hyundai has launched a TVC high on adrenaline, showcasing its SUVs being the epitome of all that the Sports Utility Vehicles stand for.

Scripted by Innocean Worldwide team, it illustrates each of the Hyundai SUV clan members, Venue, Creta, Tucson and Kona Electric thriving in their natural habitat and delivering unparalleled build quality with driving pleasure.

Having been recently crowned the No. 1 SUV maker in the Indian market, Hyundai chose to mark the occasion with the new TVC, celebrating its pole position in the Indian SUV market.

Shiveshwar R. Singh, National Creative Director, Innocean Worldwide, India, said, “The script was crafted to give each of the SUVs their due share of focus and the eventual culmination in the ultimate pride sequence with all four cars coming together, only to add legitimacy and weight to the No. 1 SUV brand claim for the audiences.”

“Also shooting across the varying geographies was pertinent to the film to display the capabilities of each of the SUVs individually, which quite frankly was a logistical challenge — executed remarkably well by a crew of over a 100, shot across four states and five locations with clockwork precision to deliver the exceptional film,” Singh said.

The film that was played across TV screens and digital mediums alike received great traction and noticeability, especially while IPL was ongoing.

Anushina Rajesh, Assistant Vice-President, Innocean, added, “We had our work cut out for us, with a brief as pointed as this being about Hyundai SUVs gaining 25% of the market share for the year ended Dec 2020, as was it a celebration of Hyundai SUVs. The supremacy of brand Hyundai SUVs is wide on display, thanks in part to a wonderfully crafted script and each of the sub-brands, which add their own distinct flavour to overall blend of the TVC. The sporty looks and powerful performance of the SUV’s shine through brilliantly.”

This campaign set out to accomplish a two-fold task, wherein while it was brand Hyundai taking on a stance of supremacy. It is from a communication standpoint, the part of a larger strategy to pave the way for more offerings from Hyundai in the segment in times to come. The soon-to-be-launched Alcazar being an example of the same.
