Marico’s advertising and sales promotion spend grew by 35% YoY in Q4FY21 as the company invested aggressively mainly on core franchises and foods innovations while continuing to drive spend rationalisation and channelise investment towards growing franchises.

The company in its annual filing said that its spent Rs 173 crore in the fourth quarter ending March 31, 2021, up 35% from Rs 128 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
However, the company spent 4.77% less on advertising and sales promotion during the entire financial year. In FY21, Marico spent Rs 698 crore on advertising as compared to Rs 733 crore in the previous fiscal.
