SonyLIV launches Marathi original show 'Shantit Kranti'

SonyLIV is premiering a heartwarming Marathi Original – ‘Shantit Kranti’ starting August 13, which throws light on peace and purpose required in every friendship. The story captures the quirky camaraderie of 3 best friends, Shreyas, Dinar and Prasanna, who hit the road, embarking on a journey of self-discovery that unknowingly changes their lives forever.

The story brings to life the close-knit bond shared and enjoyed by Shreyas, Dinar and Prasanna. Wanting to remain young and care-free forever, a change in itinerary challenges their friendship and thus begins a journey of introspection and realization that is sure to resonate with viewers. The curves, the bumps, the twists and turns, and endless life lessons make this show a wholesome and unforgettable watch!

Beyond the fun, frolic and friendship, ‘Shantit Kranti’ will be like a thought-provoking getaway for the viewers, reminding them that it’s the journey, and not the destination that matters. In a consistently comical way, the series showcases ways of dealing with the ups and downs of life. From Shreyas dealing with relationship challenges to Prasanna facing the pressure of unfulfilled dreams and Dinar battling life’s uncertainties, the show focuses on the growth journey of these characters in a light-hearted manner.

Directed by Sarang Sathaye and Paula McGlynn, the founders of the popular YouTube Marathi Page ‘Bharatiya Digital Party’ (Bhadipa), ‘Shantit Kranti’ is a perfect Friendship Day offering and will stream on SonyLIV from 13th August 2021. The show is dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam

The show features Abhay Mahajan (Shreyas), Lalit Prabhakar (Prasanna) and Alok Rajwade (Dinar) in the lead roles along with Vijay Nikam and popular Bollywood actress Shikha Talsania in prominent roles. Actors like Sakhi Gokhale, Mrinmayee Godbole, Amey Wagh, Sarang Sathaye, Jitendra Joshi will be making special appearances on the show.
