Sambit Mohanty has joined McCann as Head of Creative - South. In his previous role as National Creative Director at JWT Delhi, he was responsible for the total creative output across verticals for JWT’s largest office in South Asia.
Mohanty had previously worked at McCann as Executive Creative Director in 2012.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) New Delhi, Mohanty has spent over two decades in advertising and design across agencies such as Lintas, DDB-Mudra, Leo Burnett and Elephant Design.
Given his diverse experience, Mohanty has helped build brands like Airtel, Apollo Tyres, Coca Cola, Hero Motors, Adidas, Bata, Wrigley’s, Carrier-Midea, Reckitt-Benckiser (Dettol, Mortein, Harpic), Patanjali, McVities, Nestle, HP, BBC World, Chevrolet, Hitachi, Tanishq and many more.
In the course of his career, Mohanty has won multiple international awards including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Spikes. And closer home, Effies, Kyoorius and Abbies.
