Wakefit.co, the online sleep solutions company, has announced an internship programme called the ‘Wakefit Sleep Internship’, wherein selected candidates are required to venture to the land of ‘Nod’ for nine hours every night for a period of 100 nights.

It’s a #DreamJob. Getting paid to do something you love — sleep.

The perks of Wakefit.co’s #DreamJob include: Working from the comforts of your own home (without having to quit your monotonous day job); slumbering on the finest mattress provided by Wakefit.co; receiving a sophisticated fitness and sleep tracker and counselling sessions from sleep experts and a compensation of Rs 1 lakh.

Interested candidates can apply online at www.wakefit.co/sleepintern . Shortlisted candidates will be asked to send in video testimonials validating their love for sleep. Candidates that showcase the ability to doze off anywhere, anytime will be further interviewed by an expert panel, who will grill them on their commitment towards sleep. The internship will be awarded to five-eight winners, whose KRAs will be to sleep, sleep and sleep! Winners will be provided with a sleep tracker that will record sleep patterns before and after using the internship mattress. In order to earn a stipend of Rs 1 lakh, interns will be required to sleep nine hours every day and share the sleep data with Wakefit.

Absenteeism from sleeping diligently, laziness in going to bed on time, using laptops on during the time of the internship will be highly frowned upon. The expert panel, comprising healthcare specialists, wellness consultants and interior designers, will monitor interns’ progress and provide counselling on the best way to meet the KRA.

A job description for the internship is as follows: https://www.wakefit.co/sleepintern/job-description.php

Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, Director and Co-founder, Wakefit.co, was upbeat about the initiative. He said, “As a sleep solutions company, our biggest motivation is to inspire people to sleep better. As we continue to live life in the fast lane, sleep is unfortunately becoming a common casualty, adversely affecting our health, productivity and quality of life. The Sleep Internship initiative aims to bring back the focus on sleep health by celebrating and applauding people who obsess about sleeping well. We are looking to recruit the best sleepers in the country who are willing to go to any lengths to make sleep a priority in their lives. This initiative is another step towards making sleep an integral part of maintaining work-life balance in our lives.”

The Nap Room Campaign received national acclaim from various companies and the OneIndiaOneWakefit was nominated for the Sabre Awards — the Bengaluru-based startup is committed to bringing sleep into people’s consciousness and their daily conversations.
