Google partners with Dineout to enable reservations & offers for consumers via maps

Dineout, the dining out and technology solutions platform, has announced its association with Google to elevate user experiences by adding more features to their popular navigation engine, Google Maps, with the help of technology powered by Dineout.

With search, users now have more actions to explore within Google Maps by discovering dining out options near them, choosing from the available offers at restaurants and also reserve a table for their preferred time and date.

Finding a restaurant with the best available offers at any day and time will now be easy on Google Maps via this partnership with Dineout. This will help millions of Google Maps users to explore restaurants near them, reserve a table, explore discounts and navigate to local restaurants for more convenient and unique dining experiences in real-time. Through the ‘Offers’ shortcut on Google maps, the service can be leveraged by Google Maps users across 15,000+ Dineout partner restaurants in 17 cities such as Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Chennai, Surat, Ahmedabad, Indore, Lucknow, Kochi, Nagpur, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Goa.

Dineout now has moved a step forward to provide both a convenient and instant experience that allows users a seamless dining out experience with their auto-reservations and confirmed bookings technology. This collaboration with Google is a perfect blend for the customers and is all set to enhance the dining out experience for them.

“Our association with Google Maps is a milestone for us and brings us one step closer to providing seamless dining out experience along with empowering restaurants to be tech-enabled in India. With their help, we are co-creating an ecosystem which will help two of our biggest stakeholders — consumers and restaurants at multiple levels. Understanding the demand of visual representation and easy accessibility, we plan to offer a seamless, more convenient and enjoyable experience to our consumers. Keeping our stakeholders on the forefront of this partnership, we plan to integrate this seamlessly into Google Maps on desktop and mobile,” said Ankit Mehrotra, CEO and Co-founder, Dineout.

Google enables users to have a personalised experience using machine learning and user preferences. With the dining-out contributing more than 70% to the total restaurant industry and a user dining out for an average of 6.6 times a month, there is a growing need for innovation in this industry and ‘Offers’ on Google Maps at restaurants powered by Dineout will help users to make a much more informed decision and quick access the ease of digitisation.

“At Google Maps, we're working hard to help everyone explore their world. Two months ago we launched 'Offers' — an India-first feature to help people discover local deals. Today, we'd like to welcome Dineout to this experience, which will offer even more choices for diners and merchants alike,” said Chandu Thota, Director, Google Maps.
