CNBC-TV18 gives away 14th India Business Leaders Awards

The awards honoured leaders across industries who have helmed a wave of change in the country

CNBC-TV18 hosted the 14th edition of the ‘India Business Leaders Awards’ at a grand event on January 17 at Trident, Mumbai.

The awards, going strong for over a decade, were conceived with an aim to felicitate those business leaders who have made revolutionary advancements in their sphere and risen beyond the industry threshold by setting new standards in terms of growth, scale and market leadership. The platform recognized these champions.

The event was attended by eminent dignitaries and politicians like Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Civil Aviation; Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways; Piyush Goyal, Railways minister. Arun Jaitley, Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, currently recovering in the USA, left behind a heart-warming message to all present via a video call.

India’s leading industrialist Mukesh Ambani, Chairman & Managing Director, Reliance Industries Ltd. was one of the eminent business personalities present at the event. Some of the other prominent luminaries comprising Piyush Pandey, Global CCO, Ogilvy, Raamdeo Agrawal, MD, Motilal Oswal Group, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group, Keki Mistry, MD, HDFC and Sajjan Jindal, Chairman and MD, JSW were in full attendance at the event.

The jury panel chaired by Uday Kotak, Chairman & MD of Kotak Mahindra Bank, included industry veterans such Harsh Mariwala, Chairman- Marico, Rajnish Kumar, Chairman- State Bank of India, Kalpana Morparia, CEO- JP Morgan India, Sanjay Nayar, CEO- KKR India, Vani Kola, MD – Kalaari capital, Nimesh Kampani, Chairman- JM Financial, Rajiv Memani, Chairman & Regional Managing Partner of EY India and Zarin Daruwala, CEO- Standard Chartered Bank, who selected the winners of the prestigious awards with due deliberation.
