The 10-part series presented by Hindi poet Kumar Vishwas will familiarise old and new generation with some of the most interesting aspects of our favourite poets.
Hindi poetry has a rich heritage and legacy known across the globe. Their contributions range across genres such as shringar (love), karun (pathos), veer (heroic), hasya (comic) among others.
Each episode will encapsulate the life and works of great Indian poets such as Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Dushyant Kumar, Suryakant Tripathi Nirala, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Sudama Pandey Dhumil and many more. Vishwas will not only anchor the series but recite and sing selected popular poems of the chosen Hindi poets. This weekly series will be telecast from November 5, every Saturday and Sunday at 10 pm.
Vishwas said, “Most people forget Hindi poetry right after their basic education. Dinkar, Nirala, Premchand become mere names to them.
