Bates CHI&Partners has appointed Naveen Ramanas Senior Vice-president and Head of Bangalore.
Passionate about building brands and creating value, Raman comes with a decade-and-a-half long experience in marketing and advertising in India and West Asia. Prior to this, he was heading marketing at the fixed furniture and interior design space start-up, Homelane.com, where he set up the entire marketing process.
VS Srikanth, CEO, Bates CHI&Partners, said, “We are excited to have someone with Naveen's experience on board. Naveen will, without doubt, add momentum to Bates CHI&Partners India which is already growing at a rapid pace. His earlier stints in key marketing roles should only add to Bates' growing stature with its clients in India.”
Raman also headed marketing at TutorVista, which was later acquired by Pearson. His five-year stint with TutorVista/Pearson was a huge learning experience as he saw through the marketing challenges in a start-up that was later successfully acquired by the global giant.
Raman started his career in marketing with the Ambuja Group in Kolkata. He then moved to West Asia where he worked on international brands across automobile, retail and financial sectors.
Later, he joined Orchard Advertising, Bangalore, and worked on brands like Ferrero Rocher, Kinderjoy, Essilor, Tata Gold Plus, Knock Out, Royal Challenge, Wipro Smartlite and Subhiksha. At Rediffusion Bangalore, he led the business on USL, ING Vysya, Arrow, Xylys and Amanté.
The sheer joy of building brands has brought Raman back to advertising. This is homecoming to him as interestingly, when in Pearson, Bates was his agency of choice. So having been a Bates client he is comfortable with the agency's philosophy.
The clients that will fall under his care are Dell, Embassy Group, Future Group - Indigo Nation, Scullers, Jealous 21, Flipkart - Sellers Market, Wipro, Mahindra Retail - Baby Oye, Pearson India, OnsiteGo, and Vakil Group
