Team Make In India conferred the inaugural ‘Make In India Award for Excellence - 2015’ to BARC India at a function in Ahmedabad yesterday.
Attended and inaugurated by Cabinet Minister and Chief Guest Kalraj Mishra and Govindbhai Patel, Minister of State for Science and Technology, the event took place at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
A joint industry body launched in April 2015, BARC India has been focusing on its ‘Make In India’ belief through its locally manufactured ‘BAR-O-meter’ at one-sixth the cost of globally available meters, thus providing scalability in future for robust and accurate data for generations to come.
Commenting on the Award, Partho Dasgupta, CEO, BARC India, said, “The Award is for Team BARC. They have put together a scalable solution at shortest possible time and at the cheapest cost possible. And thanks to the Board and Technical Committee for believing and supporting Team BARC all the way.”
