Star Plus, Life OK and Sony witness decline in their viewership. Sony stays at No. 5 for the second consecutive week

Zee TV added maximum viewership in Week 26 of BARC ratings while Colors was the second channel among top five Hindi general entertainment channels to register growth. Star Plus, Life OK and Sony witnessed decline in their viewership even as Sony held No. 5 position for the second consecutive week.
According to select data made available by BARC for Week 26 (June 27 – July 3) for HSM, 1L+ Individuals, Star Plus’ lead margin over Colors reduced to 31 million. Zee TV strengthened its position at No. 3 with maximum growth this week while Life OK and Sony stayed at No. 4 and 5 respectively despite losing viewership.
Decline in Star Plus’ viewership in Week 26 narrowed its lead margin over Colors to 31 million. By losing 17 million, the channel recorded gross viewership of 389 million (last week 406 million).
Star Plus’ loss was Colors’ gain as the later added 17 million to its gross ratings. Colors recorded a gross rating of 358 million (last week 341 million).
Zee TV continued with its consistent growth in its viewership. The channel’s gross rating has grown by over 53 million since the launch of individual ratings by BARC in Week 21. Zee TV’s gross ratings stood at 285 million in Week 26 (last week 255 million).
Life OK too witnessed decline in its viewership this week and recorded a gross rating of 233 million (last week 246 million).
Sony Entertainment Television held No. 5 position with a gross rating of 204 million (last week 236 million).
