The crime series is part of the new programmes that the Hindi entertainment channel has lined up for the Indian audience this year

ID_LOGOID (Investigation Discovery) channel brought the intriguing world of mystery and suspense alive at Goafest 2015 with the launch of a new series, ‘Knooni Saaya’. The series will be hosted by Rohit Roy.

Sharing his strategy about ID, Rahul Johri, Executive Vice-President & General Manager - South Asia & Southeast Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, said, “Our research confirmed that Indian viewers have immense appetite to watch true investigation and crime based narratives. We believe that the viewers deserve 24-hour specialised entertainment in this era of clutter and dynamic lifestyles. With over 8 million weekly viewership and growing, ID has captured the attention of the Indian viewer.”

This year, ID has lined up a slew of new programmes for the Indian audience, which include ‘Young, Hot & Crooked’, a show that reveals how the most privileged upbringings can lead to the most intricate offenses; ‘A Crime To Remember’, which invites viewers to step into the past and unravel the intricacies of real-life murder cases of the ’50s and ‘60s; and ‘Dead Of Night’, which explores the dark side of cities when the sun goes down.

Launched recently by Discovery India, ID offers a complete prime time line-up of shows targeting female and male audience in the 18-44 age group in SEC B, C and D. The Hindi entertainment channel is available in India across digital and analogue platforms.
