Real estate platform Housing.com announced the appointment of Nikhil Rungta as its Chief Marketing Officer. A seasoned marketing veteran with over 20 years of experience, Rungta is recognized as one of India's top marketing leaders, with experience across companies like Reliance Jio, Google, and McCann Erickson.

Nikhil is a new-age marketer known to leverage a mix of both traditional and digital marketing. Prior to Housing.com, Nikhil was Senior VP, Marketing, at Reliance Jio, and was the first CMO for Google in India, where he held that position for four years. He has also played key business leadership roles at start-ups like Yebhi and Yatra.com.

Rungta's tenure at Google has been recognized globally, when he achieved a milestone growth for YouTube's India user base with events like live streaming of IPL and online premier of Bollywood blockbusters like 'Dabangg'. In addition, he is also credited for helping make Google Chrome the number one web browser in the country. Rungta is also the man behind the Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF). He conceptualised and launched it in 2012, and it is now as big as Cyber Monday in US or the Singles Day in China.

He was named as one of the 50 Most Talented CMOs in India at the World Brand Congress in 2013. He has also received multiple awards at Google including the prestigious Google Founders Award and Platinum Award for Marketing. His initiative for Yebhi.com's 'Shopping via Virtual Wall' was awarded Gold for Innovation of the Year. His work has been recognized and awarded at events like Cannes Ad Festival, Clio and the Goa Fest.

Nikhil holds a MBA from NMIMS in Mumbai and is a B.Sc graduate from Hindu College, Delhi University.
