Week 36 of BARC ratings saw Colors regain the top spot with a gross viewership of 387 million and taking a lead of 17 million over rival Star Plus.

The week also saw the launch of three new shows – two from &TV and one from Colors.

Colors added to its comedy offering with the launch of new show 'Comedy Nights Bachao' on September 5, 2015. The show's premise is based on insult comedy. The weekly show was received well by the viewers as it garnered viewership of 5,182 (ratings in sum of 000s), making it the highest rated show on the weekend.

Meanwhile, &TV refreshed its weekend content with the launch of 'Deal or No Deal', a reality game show, and 'Agent Raghav', a crime thriller.

However, despite the augment of fresh content on weekends, &TV didn't witness much growth overall. The channel, which had a gross viewership of 86,124 (ratings in sum of 000s) in Week 35, garnered a gross viewership of 84,572 in Week 36. In respect of GRPs, the Hindi GEC had 56 GRPs last week as opposed to 55 GRPs in Week 36.

Both 'Deal or No Deal' (aired at 8-9 PM) and 'Agent Raghav' (aired at 9-10 PM) got identical viewership of 510 (ratings in sum of 000s) for their launch episodes on September 5. The viewership for the two shows went up to 552 ('Deal or No Deal') and 572 ('Agent Raghav') on the following day.

With a slight increase in viewership, &TV would expect the two weekend shows to propel its ratings in the coming week.

As far as the top five programmes of the week were concerned, Zee TV's 'Kumkum Bhagya' continued to be the top show with a viewership of 7,264 (ratings in sum of 000s).

Colors' show 'Meri Ashiqui Tum Se Hi' rose to the second spot with a viewership of 6,184 (ratings in sum of 000s).

Star Plus' premiere fiction show, 'Saath Nibhana Saathiya', climbed up to the third spot with a viewership of 5,782 (ratings in sum of 000s).

Two of Colors' shows – 'Swaragini' and 'Udaan' – took the 4th and 5th spots with a viewership of 5,739 and 5,643 (ratings in sum of 000s), respectively.

On the other hand, 'Sasural Simar Ka' on Colors, which regularly featured in the top 5, dropped out in Week 36.
