Samir Chonkar elevated to Creative Head of Everest’s Mumbai ops

Chonkar has been with Everest Brand Solutions since October 2010, when he joined the agency as Executive Creative Director

Everest Brand Solutions has elevated Samir Chonkar to head the creative function of its Mumbai operations.

In his 20-plus years of experience in the industry, Chonkar has helped build iconic brands like Parle-G, Hide & Seek, Monaco, Milano, Amul, Tata Indicom, TCS, Tata Housing, Frooti, Bailey, Bagpiper Whisky, Tortoise Mosquito Coils, Hitachi, Onida, ING Mutual Fund, LIC, Franklin Templeton, Bajaj Allianz, Castrol, Jet Airways, and Emirates Airlines, among others.

Chonkar has been with Everest Brand Solutions since October 2010, when he joined the agency as Executive Creative Director. Prior to that, he was Creative Consultant with Draftfcb + Ulka (now FCB Ulka) from October 2008 to April 2010. Chonkar first joined Everest in February 1993 and was with the agency for five years and nine months. He then worked as an independent creative consultant for a year before returning to Everest Brand Solutions’ fold in October 1999, this time for a stint of seven years and seven months. He moved on to M&C Saatchi in April 2007 before joining FCB Ulka.

Chonkar’s work has featured across international award shows and Indian award forums like Goafest, DMAI Echo, Effies, IDMAI, Digital Crest and Indian Marketing Awards, to name a few. In recent times, his work for Tata Value Homes won the International Echo Award.
