Online travel company, MakeMyTrip.com, has initiated a pitch to appoint a new creative agency. FCB Ulka was handling the business so far. The process began after the company issued a Request for Information (RFI).
The company is seeking an agency that will help increase category and brand penetration amongst non-users and bring more new users to the online travel category.
“The last few quarters have corroborated our belief that online travel is at the cusp of exponential growth and we are looking to partner with an agency that is able to support us in unlocking the growth potential of online travel through a combination of out of the box thinking and strategic approach to category creation,” said Saujanya Shrivastava, Chief Marketing Officer, MakeMyTrip.com.
As part of the mandate, the selected creative agency will be responsible for the national brand creative, brand planning across businesses, strategic brand campaigns and tactical promotions; partnering the brand to grow nascent businesses; brand visual identity, regional and dealer creative, and 360 degree marketing efforts.
The company informs that it will be considered a plus point if the agency has prior experience of handling travel & e-Commerce brands, but the interests shouldn't be conflicting. The company hopes to announce a winner by the first week of March and debut the creative in April 2015.
