#Fame, a digital network entertainment, is all set to launch 'Websinger', India's first digital show to discover and showcase the next wave of superstar singers. This digital initiative will have Music Director Pritam as the chief judge and mentor to participants. The show will also bring together some other names from the music industry, all in pursuit of the music stars of tomorrow. This show is part of #Fame's plan to emerge as Asia's premier talent-led digital entertainment network over the next three years. Catering to mobile millennial, #Fame's network will straddle over 5,000 channels and 50,000 content creators, across six countries.
Pritam said, “I believe in the power of talent and the reach of digital. Music fans are increasingly discovering great work on digital and social media first. And there is a whole new generation of artistes who are waiting to be discovered. 'Websinger' will be the perfect platform for them to make an impact on the global stage.”
“I came across the #Fame music anthem online, thought it was really quirky and fun, reflecting the spirit of today's youth. 'Websinger' is all about this spirit,” he further added.
Saket Saurabh, CEO, #Fame, said, “Music is one of the most consumed genres on digital, and it resonates strongly with the youth. All #Fame IPs epitomise our talent-first philosophy and 'Websinger' will also achieve this objective. It will discover and showcase India's most talented emerging singers throughout the year. Pritam is an icon in music and one of the most versatile artists we have, and we are really excited to have him lead 'Websinger'.”
