Air Wick has come out with a new campaign, focusing on how the fragrance of Air Wick helps build a romantic atmosphere in your house. The campaign has been created by the Air Wick brand team and directed by Nitesh Tiwari of 'Chillar Party' and 'Bhootnath Returns' fame.
Nitish Kapoor, General Manager, RB India, said, “Air Care as a category is evolving in India and Air Wick is amongst the top players. Through our new TV commercial we have focused on building relevance through real life situations. Air Wick, with its extensive range of offerings across formats, aims to bring alive the romance and sparkle in the lives of young couples.”
Air Wick revolutionised the Indian air care market after its launch in 2008. The products are available in a variety of formats and fragrances, aerosols, plug-ins and automatic sprays. While air care is present in India in its nascent stage, Air Wick is trying to present itself as a household necessity which helps you to build the perfect atmosphere.
The first TVC starts with the voiceover reminding people to take a deep breath and remember that the husband throwing his used socks on the sofa is not a bad habit – it's a condition which cannot be cured. The voiceover further reminds the husband that his attempt to hurry up his wife will never work; she will take as much time as needs.
The second TVC is a similar sort where the voiceover focuses on men's habit of spilling food and drinks on the carpet, and women's reputation of gossiping about the world. Both TVCs end with the couple happy, because the pleasant aroma has helped them to overlook these faults in their better half.
Director Nitesh Tiwari said, “In the new TV commercial from Air Wick, we have captured real life situations which can cause stress amongst the couple. One must not let the romance from the daily lives fizzle out and the daily nit-picks to turn into mood spoilers. Fragrance can play a crucial role in uplifting the mood and overcoming the daily stress. I am sure most of the couples watching the TVC will be able to relate to it.”
