Prateek Srivastava, President – North & South, Ogilvy & Mather India, has put in his papers. The sudden development was communicated internally in a memo yesterday. When contacted by BestMediaInfo, Srivastava declined to divulge his next destination.

Srivastava has been with Ogilvy since 2000. He was also on the Board of Ogilvy India, and was Chairman of the Ogilvy Worldwide Office (Hub) located in Bangalore. This unit works for clients not based in India, and creates communication for markets outside India.

Srivastava was Group President for Ogilvy South till May 2012 and was given additional charge of Ogilvy North after Sanjay Thapar moved to Bates.

Prior to Ogilvy, Srivastava was with Lowe Lintas from 1994-2000. In between he went to Lowe Lintas Indonesia as head of the Unilever business for a year from 1999-2000. Before that he was Branch Director with Mudra from 1990-94. A management graduate from IIM-A, he started advertising career with Clarion in 1987.
