Zee TV registers growth across fiction programming as Jodha Akbar touches new high in Week 48 of TAM 2013

Star Plus strengthened its weekday leadership with 6 shows in the top 10 list in Week 48 of TAM 2013. On the other hand, Zee TV registered growth across fiction programming as its epic series 'Jodha Akbar' touched a new high, according to TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 48 (November 24 - November 30) CS 4+, HSM markets. Zee TV had two slots leaving one each for Colors and SAB TV.

Star Plus' primetime touched a three-and-a-half-year high on the back of 'Mahabharat' and 'Veera' that took a leap with high decibel marketing campaigns.

Among weekend shows, 'Comedy Night with Kapil' on Colors remained the chart topper with Sony's 'CID' at No. 2. 'DID 4' on Zee TV was at No. 3 followed by 'Nach Baliye 6' on Star Plus at No. 4.

'Bigg Boss 7' on Colors recorded 5,102 TVT in Week 48 against 5,491 TVT in Week 47.

Weekday toppers (all data in TVT in 000's)

Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus topped the chart with 11,449 TVT this week (last week 12,298 TVT).

Jodha Akbar on Zee TV continued to grow and reached closer to the top position. The show garnered its highest ever viewership at 10,182 TVT in Week 48 (last week 9,801 TVT).

Star Plus' Saathiya climbed one position to No. 3 position with an average TVT of 8,683 (last week 8,290 TVT).

SAB's Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma slipped to No. 4 position recording an average TVT of 7,647 against last week's 8,856 TVT.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus retained No. 5 position recording 7,329 TVT. The show had an average TVT of 7,863 last week.

Star Plus' epic series, Mahabharat, grew further and jumped one position to No. 6. The show recorded an average TVT of 7,170 (last week 6,835 TVT).

Pyaar Ka Dard Hai on Star Plus slipped one position to No. 7. The show recorded an average TVT of 6,661 (last week 7,351 TVT).

Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke on Zee TV climbed to No. 8 position with 6,647 TVT (last week 6,034 TVT).

Colors' Balika Vadhu slipped one position to No. 9, recording 6,513 TVT (last week 6,684 TVT).

Veera on Star Plus entered the top 10 club with 6,150 TVT (last week 4,948 TVT).

Weekend toppers

Comedy Night with Kapil on Colors held its leadership with a huge margin. The show recorded 7,851 TVT (last week 8,464 TVT).

Sony's crime series, CID, fetched 4,600 TVT against last week's 5,254 TVT.

Dance India Dance Season 4 recorded 4,323 TVT (last week 4,666 TVT).

Nach Baliye 6 on Star Plus fetched 4,267 TVT (last week 4,736 TVT).

Fear Files on Zee TV fetched 3,162 TVT (last week 2,856 TVT).

Life OK's Shapath recorded 3,055 TVT against last week's 4,057 TVT.

Sony's other crime show, Crime Patrol, averaged at 2,964 TVT this week against last week's 3,255 TVT.

Sony's Adalat recorded 2,844 TVT (last week 2,348 TVT).

Colors' thriller, 24, recorded 2,797 TVT (last week 3,058 TVT).

KBC on Sony recorded 2,778 TVT this week (last week 3,248 TVT).

Life OK's new weekend show Khauff Begins opened at 2,539 TVT.

Bh Se Bhade on Zee TV grew further and fetched 2,079 TVT (last week 1,650 TVT).

Star Plus' crime fiction, Arjun, recorded 1,911 TVT (last week 2,001 TVT).

Bhoot Aaya on Sony fetched 1,423 TVT (last week 1,662 TVT).
