Week 46 of TAM 2013 witnessed a surge in viewership for most of the weekday shows across channels as well as a few weekend shows. As a result, Star Plus' weekday primetime viewership grew to an 18-month high with a margin of 30 per cent from nearest competition.

The chart-toppers of both the weekday and weekend programming were at their peaks. While weekday topper, Diya Aur Baati Hum, crossed the 11,000-TVT mark, the Ram Leela special of Comedy Night With Kapil attracted a spectacular rating of 8,588 TVT among weekend shows.

According to TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 46 (November 10 - November 16) CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus continued to rule weekday programming with five of its shows in the top 10 list. Colors leveled with Zee TV with two slots each leaving one slot for SAB TV.

Comedy Night with Kapil on Colors grew further to strengthen its leadership among weekend shows followed by DID 4 on Zee TV. Nach Baliye 6 on Star Plus dropped to No. 4 after a strong opening last week.

Bigg Boss 7 on Colors continued to improve and recorded 5,316 TVT in Week 46 against 5,133 TVT in Week 45.

Weekday toppers (all data in TVT in 000's)

Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus touched its peak at 11,223 TVT this week (last week 10,921).

Jodha Akbar on Zee TV also registered growth in viewership and registered 9,176 TVT in week 46 (last week 8,989).

SAB's Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma jumped three positions to No. 3 recording an average TVT of 7,782 against last week's 7,135.

Pyaar Ka Dard Hai on Star Plus held its viewership but slipped one position to No. 4. The show recorded an average TVT of 7,774 (last week 7,754).

Star Plus' Saathiya held No. 5 position with an average TVT of 7,708 (last week 7,518).

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus rose to No. 6 position recording 7,335 TVT. The show had an average TVT of 7,039 last week.

Colors' Balika Vadhu slipped three positions to No. 7, recording 7,298 TVT (last week 7,581).

Sasural Simar Ka on Colors made a comeback to the top 10 club at No. 8. The show fetched 6,182 TVTs (last week 5,359).

Mahabharat on Star Plus grew further and held No. 9 position, recording an average TVT of 5,807 (last week 5,475).

Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke on Zee TV slipped two positions to No. 10. The show fetched 5,742 TVTs (last week 5,993).

Weekend toppers

Comedy Night with Kapil on Colors fetched spectacular ratings for its Ram Leela special. The show recorded 8,588 TVT (last week 7,357).

Dance India Dance Season 4 jumped to No. 2 in its grand premiere week. The show recorded 5,311 TVTs (the show opened at 4,678 TVT).

Sony's crime series, CID, fetched 4,744 TVT against last week's 5,501 TVT.

Nach Baliye 6 on Star Plus dropped to 4,741 in its second week after a strong opening at 6,034 TVT.

Life OK's Shapath witnessed a surprise jump in its viewership and recorded 4,392 TVT against last week's 3,418.

Sony's other crime show, Crime Patrol, averaged at 3,887 TVT this week against last week's 4,284 TVT.

KBC on Sony recorded 3,738 TVT this week (last week 4,029).

Fear Files on Zee TV fetched 3,135 TVT (last week 2,735).

Colors' thriller, 24, recorded 2,881 TVT (last week 3,222).

Sony's crime show, Adalat, recorded 2,326 TVT (last week 2,413).

Comedy Circus on Sony recorded 2,262 TVT (last week 1,910).

Bh Se Bhade on Zee TV grew further and fetched 2,080 TVT (last week 1,735).

Star Plus' crime fiction, Arjun, recorded 1,989 TVT (last week 1,787).
