Ad Club announces changes in entry norms, adds categories for Effies 2013
Two new sub-categories added in Consumer Products, while M&E included in Services category. Two new categories introduced are Experiential Marketing and Effie for Good

The Ad Club, prior to coming out with the entry form every year for the Effies, conducts a town hall meeting involving industry professionals with a view to gain their valuable inputs and, if agreeable, implement the same. Their ideas have often helped us bring about changes/modifications. This year the meeting was attended by 18 professionals.
Based on the inputs received, The Ad Club has introduced certain changes for the Effie Awards 2013 outlined below.
In the Consumer Products category, the sub-categories are:
A) Beverages / Drink
B) Confectionary and Food
C) Cosmetics & Toiletries (same as last year)
D) Others (same as last year)
In the Services category, Media & Entertainment has been added this time. Telecom & Related Products, Financial Services, and Others continue as in the last year.
The new categories introduced for Effies 2013 are:
1. Experiential Marketing
2. Effie for Good
In Corporate Advertising category, the sub category Social Cause is removed and the new nomenclature will be Corporate Advertising / Corporate Reputation.
It was also decided that all videos should be limited to a maximum of 3 minutes only.
Eligibility period: Campaigns that ran in India from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013.
Last date for entries: Monday, November 25, 2013
Judging dates in Mumbai: Friday, December 13, and Saturday, December 14, 2013 (Round 1)
Mumbai Final Round: Tuesday, January 7, 2014
Judging dates in Delhi: Friday, December 20, 2013 (Round 1) and Saturday, December 21, 2013 (Final Round)
The Awards Nite will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Royal Western Turf Club, Mumbai.
