The definition of advertising and marketing is changing, be it the mediums of TVC, print or design. They have to blend in very well to push the brand in the new-age market. Each medium is dependent on the other for the impact of the brand; that's the reality today where design has started playing a major role in India as well. In keeping with the new market paradigm, Taproot India has announced the launch of a new vertical – SquareRoot Design.

Sammer Asth, who has recently joined Taproot India as Head of Business and Strategy, will be involved in SquareRoot Design as well, as he has spent some time in design houses. The new vertical will be fronted by Santosh Padhi and Agnello Dias along with Asth who will take care of the strategy.

Santosh Padhi 'Paddy', Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Taproot India, said, “Design is relatively new compared to other mediums in our country; brands have discovered the need of great design at every consumer interface. There is a great need of design and aesthetics while keeping the brand philosophy in mind in a clutter and massive market like ours. For last one year or so, Taproot India has been taking a good amount of design projects and clients on board. Now, the agency has decided to launch SquareRoot Design backed up by a great set-up, and a right set of people from design and strategy.”

Paddy further said, “Like the philosophy of Taproot, in design too, two or at least one out of the three senior team members will be directly involved in each and everything that comes out of this unit.”

Over the last few months of undercover existence, SquareRoot Design, has helped PepsiCo launch Atom, Marico for SetWet Deos and Gels, Kik Cola for Sri Lanka and Sanjeev Kaproor's  range of Khazana products.
