She has stepped down in order to move back to the USA for personal reasons

Shafalika Saxena, Chief Marketing Officer, Microsoft India, has stepped down. It is reliably learnt that an internal mail has been put out informing relevant team members of her decision to step down in order to move back to the USA for personal reasons. She will be with Microsoft India till the end of June. Saxena had joined Microsoft India in March 2012.
It is not clear whether she will move out of Microsoft completely or the company would retain her services in the US.
Saxena declined to divulge any details beyond saying she has stepped down from the India assignment.
Saxena is credited with launching market entry campaigns across the Microsoft product portfolio including Windows8, Windows Server, Office 2013, Office 365, and Azure. She has been a keynote speaker at several industry events, and has been recognized as a top CMO by the World Brand Congress.
An articulate speaker, Saxena, earlier this week, was the Moderator for the IAA Debate held in Gurgaon.
Before joining Microsoft, Saxena was Vice-President, Board of Governors for American Embassy School in India from August 2010 – June 2012. She is the Founding Thinker for Th!nk India where she worked for more than two years handling high-impact strategy, positioning and communication.
Saxena has been the Global Vice-President for Brand Development at Unilever from 2006 – 2008. She was the Founder of Better Botanicals Inc. where she worked for over 10 years.
She was also the Marketing Manager, Cola Portfolio, for PepsiCo in UK. Her LinkedIn profile says: Fought the cola wars to win revenue, share and profit from both Coke and private label players in Europe's most competitive market. Rolled out new brand Pepsi Max and differentiated personality profiles between all cola brands in portfolio to create targeted marketing, communication and promotional efforts that were featured in Fortune magazine and multiple media outlets.
She has also been a Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble for six years from 1988 – 1994.
