Reebok International has announced the selection of DDB Worldwide as its global agency of record. Led by DDB New York, the agency will be responsible for Reebok's digital, social and advertising campaigns. Media will continue to be handled by Carat.
“Our partnership with Reebok started in 2009 and we're thrilled to work together again,” said Amir Kassaei, Chief Creative Officer, DDB Worldwide. “We have an opportunity to redefine the fitness category and we're ready to create conversations that move the brand forward.”
"We're excited to bring DDB back as our lead creative agency," said Yan Martin, Head of Global Brand Marketing, Reebok. "Amir and his team understand the mission of the Reebok brand. We look forward to collaborating with DDB to deliver our unique territory, powerful message and focused dedication to fitness to consumers around the world.”
The new relationship will commence with the development of work for 2014. The decision comes a year after Reebok mandated Dentsu-owned McGarryBowen to work on its global campaigns.
It is not yet clear if the appointment of DDB will have an impact on the Reebok account in India. McCann Erickson handles the Reebok creative business. The media is handled by Carat India while Isobar, also from the Aegis stable, handles the digital business.
