Japanese consumer durables giant Panasonic has shifted the media account of its corporate business to Maxus India, according to sources close to the development. The incumbent agency was Dentsu Inc. The business size could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
Despite repeated calls and also leaving a text message, Ajit Varghese, MD, South Asia, Maxus and Motivator, could not be contacted.
The corporate business was hitherto handled by Dentsu Inc. from Tokyo. This is the first time that an India-based agency will be handling this assignment. It is learnt that Maxus is already in the process of setting up a team to service the business.
Panasonic’s corporate advertising is well-known in India through the “green” campaign spearheaded by brand ambassador Diya Mirza.
