GEC Watch: Equal jump for Star Plus and Zee TV

The only change in pecking order is at No. 5 where Life OK has replaced SAB with a lead of just 1 GRP in Week 32

Week 32 of TAM 2012 has brought cheer to the Hindi general entertainment channels where top four channels have recovered from the sharp fall during the last week. According to the data sourced from TAM subscribers for the period between (August 5 – Aug 11), Star Plus and Zee TV have added 36 points each. The only change in pecking order is at No. 5 where Life OK has replaced SAB with just 1 GRP.

Recovering from the continuous losses, Star Plus has taken a healthy jump of 36 points this week and recorded 270 GRPs (last week 234).

Zee TV retains its No. 2 position with a high jump of 36 GRPs on the back of the outstanding performance by DID Little Masters that pulled off 7.5 TVR on the day when Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif appeared on the TV to promote 'Ek Tha Tiger' for the first time. The channel has fetched 247 GRPs this week (last week 211).

Sony Entertainment Television also got Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif on Indian Idol but failed to encash the stars' magic and the show managed to get 2.5 TVR. The channel has recorded 225 GRPs this week (last week 207).

Colors has fetched 217 GRPs (last week 203).

A jump of 25 points has taken Life OK to No. 5 this week. The channel has recorded 129 GRPs (last week 107).

SAB TV has slipped to No. 6 for just one GRP. The channel has recorded 128 GRPs against last week's 138 GRPs.

Sahara One has fetched 33 GRPs (last week 34).
