GEC Watch: Colors within striking distance of Star Plus

The channel has strengthened its position at No. 2 and reduced the gap with Star Plus to 12 GRPs in Week 25 of TAM 2012

On the basis of TAM data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 25 (June 17 – June 23) of TAM 2012, the usual fight for No. 2 has shifted gears to a fight for the No. 1 position. While the pecking order remains similar to last week, Colors has strengthened its position at No. 2 and the channel is just 12 GRPs away from Star Plus. Both Sony and Zee TV have grown marginally this week.

Star Plus holds the top slot with 251 GRPs this week (last week 268).

Colors, which has strengthened its position at No. 2, added 24 GRPs to record a total of 239 GRPs this week (last week 215).

Zee TV remains at No. 3 with 214 GRPs (last week 212).

Sony Entertainment Television has recorded 201 GRPs (last week 187).

SAB TV has lost further and recorded 109 GRPs against last week's 116  GRPs.

Life OK has slipped below 100-mark and recorded 97 GRPs this week (last week 106).

Sahara One has not seen any improvement and it is stable at 36 GRPs this week (last week 36).
