publive-imageThis May, HISTORY TV18 travels to the distant mountain communities of Pakistan on an expedition of gastronomical proportions!

This unique TV experiment sees four Four Britons overweight, addicted to fast food meals, swap diets with an ancient tribe in the Himalayas whose eating rituals date back thousands of years. They travel to Northern Pakistan to live and dine with a remote herding community- the Shimshal people, and in return the tribe samples some of the Brit's fast food favourites.

The diet of the Shimshal is a nutritionally balanced, optimal diet which has helped the locals live to a ripe old age, free from obesity related diseases like diabetes, heart disease and cancer. What will happen to the Brits who consume five fruit and a healthy serving of vegetables a month? What will the Shimshal people make of the great British fry up, a platter of the West's greasiest foods? Will their clean-living hosts make the Brits rethink their diet?
