Star Plus leads with 5 shows as decline in viewership continues

Sony's two crime shows back in top 5; Zee TV's DID 3 finale manages 3.19 TVR to feature in top 10 along with Pavitra Rishta

As the IPL progresses, the decline in viewership of Hindi general entertainment shows continues with primetime shows struggling for eyeballs. According to data released for Week 16 of TAM 2012 (April 15 - April 21), Star Plus has maintained the status quo with five shows among the top 10 despite a drop in TVR of these shows. Sony's two crime shows – CID and Crime Patrol – are back among the top 5 shows while Zee TV has managed to get two shows in the top 10. Zee TV's Dance India Dance Season 3 finale fetched 3.19 TVR.

Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum remained the most watched show last week despite losing viewers to IPL. The show topped the chart with 4.62 TVR against last week's 4.79 TVR.

Sony's Crime Patrol, which could not find a place in the top 10 last week, has made a comeback as the second most watched show this week. The show has fetched 3.58 TVR.

Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai on Star Plus remains at No. 3 this week too with 3.49 TVR (last week 3.58).

Sony's other crime show, CID, has climbed to No. 4 this week from last week's No. 7 position. The show fetched 3.31 TVR (last week 3.23).

Star Plus' Saathia has lost enough eyeballs to slip to No. 5 this week from No. 2 in the last week. It recorded 3.3 TVR (last week 3.9).

At No. 6 is also Star Plus' Is Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, which has recorded 3.25 TVR this week (last week 3.2).

Colors' only show in top 10 this week is Balika Badhu. At No. 7, it has fetched 3.24 TVR this week (last week 3.31).

The grand finale of Dance India Dance Season 3 too became a victim of IPL, managing only 3.19 TVR for Zee TV. It was at No. 8 this week.

Zee TV's other show in the top 10 is Pavitra Rishta, but it has dropped to No. 9 position this week from last week's No. 4 with 3.12 TVR (last week 3.5).

At No. 10 is Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai which fetched 3.07 TVR this week. Last week, the show had failed to find a place in the top 10 list.
