Sony, Colors, Zee TV intensify fight for No. 2; Star Plus slips again

The 9^th week of TAM 2012 turned out to be a colourful race as the three Hindi GECs were separated by a mere 6 GRPs

In the run-up to Holi, the 9^th week of TAM 2012 turned into a colourful race as it witnessed an intense battle for the No. 2 slot among Hindi general entertainment channels. Just 6 points separated Sony, Colors and Zee TV! While Star Plus, Sony, Zee TV, SAB and Sahara One have witnessed a decline this week, Colors has added 11 GRPs, the most by a channel, followed by Life Ok and Imagine TV.

Although Star Plus has maintained its leadership in Week 9 of TAM 2012, it has lost 20 GRPs this week after losing 19 GRPs last week. The channel has recorded 259 GRPs (last week 279).

Sony Entertainment Television remains the No. 2 Hindi GEC but with a margin of just 1 point from Colors at No. 3. The channel has lost 15 GRPs this week to record 212 GRPs (last week 227).

Colors is back at No. 3 by adding 11 points this week. The channel has registered 211 GRPs (last week 200).

Zee TV, which soared to the No. 3 spot last week by adding 43 GRPs, has slipped to No. 4 again by losing 16 GRPs this week. It has registered 206 GRPs (last week 222).

SAB TV has lost a few points again to slip at 131 GRPs this week (last week 134).

At No. 6, Life OK has added 6 points to recorded 87 GRPs (last week 81).

Imagine TV too has again shown some improvement this week and recorded 65 GRPs (last week 63).

Sahara One has lost 8 GRPs and recorded 45 GRPs this week (last week 53).
