Comedy Central has gone all out & released advertising campaigns and marketing initiatives in various cities across the country. The channel is making its presence felt throughout the country with a robust campaign which kicked off on the 28th of February in Mumbai and Bangalore and on the 29th of February in Delhi and in Kolkata and Pune last week.

Don't be surprised if you hitch a ride on a BEST AC bus and catch Comedy Central branding pasted on it. The channel has 5 buses running along 4 routes (Dahisar to Worli, Mira Road to Worli, Colaba to Powai and Gorai to Colaba) with attractive Comedy Central branding all over.

To keep up with the fun quotient and to add some zing, Comedy Central has also tied up with Cafe Coffee Day which will serve Comedy Central branded Lattes and Cappuccinos to the customers along with special Comedy Central tissue papers across select outlets in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune and Hyderabad for a month. One cannot miss the Comedy Central branding as the marketing campaign has left no stone unturned to make sure that there is maximum visibility, right from branding on the chair backs, uniquely designed tent cards, floor stickers, posters and standees. The campaign has been designed keeping in mind the core messaging of Comedy Central and hence is fun and light hearted.

Comedy Central also plans to make shopping an entertaining experience. It will have its branding across retail store giant Shoppers Stop's outlets in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. To add some fun elements and to spread smiles, there will be branding on the shopping bags, escalators, elevators, trial rooms, washrooms and staircases, 10th March onwards. There will also be cut out standees where people can place their heads and take pictures, and this campaign will last for 50 days. The cashiers in Shoppers Stop will also be wearing Smiley Badges during this whole activation making sure that the customers leave the store with a smile on their faces J

Commenting on the various initiatives and marketing campaigns, Ferzad Palia, SVP & GM English Entertainment, Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd says, “Comedy Central has been accepted well by the Indian audiences. Our distribution right from day 1 got our initial sampling for us. This advertising campaign is primarily aimed at increasing awareness.”

With lots more on the cards, Comedy Central branding can also be seen in PVR Cinemas, where the branding is put across PVR theatres across Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. Also in the offing is a tie up with 'Religare Wellness' for the month of April starting on the 1st, where Comedy Central will have branding across their stores. The tie-up, called the “Month of Happiness”, will see Comedy Central presence in 116 Religare Wellness stores across the country and the sole purpose for this activation is to spread some more smiles and cheer.
