Ogilvy & Mather has won the plum account of Voltas, according to informed industry sources. The Tata Group company has culminated the pitch process for the creative duties of its air-conditioning business. The multi-agency pitch involved shortlisted agencies Grey Worldwide, O&M, Lowe and incumbent Capital Publicis. The business is worth upwards of Rs 50 crore.
Capital Publicis had the account for about two years. Voltas, it has been reported earlier, was looking for a fresh approach in its advertising.
When contacted, Deba Ghoshal, Head of Marketing, Voltas, said, “I am not in a position to either confirm or deny it.”
The media account of Voltas is currently with Lintas Media Group, which it won in early 2010. Before Lintas, MPG was handling media for the company.
