Colors returns to No.2 position; Star Plus, Sony & Zee lose eyeballs

In the post KBC era, the change in the pecking order of GECs has taken place on expected lines. Colors has taken a big leap to come back to the No. 2 position, replacing Sony Entertainment Television (SET) which has lost 38 GRPs.
According to the TAM viewership measurement data released for Week 48 of 2011, Bigg Boss Season 5 has seen an improvement in TRP after adult star Sunny Leone entered the house. The show has garnered an average of 2.4 TVR for the week.
The top 5 shows for Week 48 (November 20 - 26) are Saathiya (5.6 TVR), Balika Badhu (5.1 TVR), Diya Aur Baati Hum (4.7 TVR), BALH (3.8 TVR), and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (3.7 TVR).
Star Plus continues to lead the Hindi GEC space by maintaining its GRPs above 310. The channel has recorded 312 GRPs (last week 314).
Becoming the only gainer among all Hindi GECs this week, Colors has regained its No. 2 position post-KBC. The channel has seen an overall improvement including for Bigg Boss which has garnered an average of 2.4 TVRs this week. Colors has recorded 277 GRPs (last week 234).
Now at No. 3, Sony has lost 38 points and registered 231 GRPs this week (last week 269).
Zee TV has further lost 12 GRPs this week to record 149 GRPs (last week 161).
SAB TV, which crossed 150 GRPs a few weeks ago, is now continuously losing eyeballs. The channel has slipped 7 GRPs this week to register 108 GRPs (last week 115).
At No. 6, Imagine TV has recorded 73 GRPs this week (last week 78).
Star One has registered 42 GRPs (last week 45), while Sahara One has 36 GRPs (last week 40).
