ICICI Bank announces first Time Out India Food Awards 2011

Brings together around 1000 restaurants from Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata

After a successful stint in the event industry, Time Out now announces their most prestigious endeavour “The Time Out India Food Awards 2011”. Bringing together around 1000 restaurants from Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata; the Time Out Food Awards 2011 is aiming at creating the most credible awards in the Food and Drinks industry and at recognizing India's best eateries.

Speaking on the concept of the Food Awards, Nydia Dias, Country Head-Marketing, Paprika Media said, “The TimeOut India Food Awards will create an aspirational value for every chef in India to be part of the nominations and winners, also what differentiates these awards from the quintessential food awards, is the transparency with which each participating restaurant will be reviewed. The TimeOut Food Awards have taken place earlier in London and Dubai and are quite sought after in the food and beverage industry. The prime vision of bringing these awards to India is the substantial growth of the hospitality industry in India as well as the growing need to appreciate good food. India comprises of some of the best restaurants and foodie joints, which provide the best establishment opportunities to the food and beverage Industry.

A special website has been created for the Time Out India Food Awards where leading restaurants all over India can register till 1st November, 2011 post which the voting process for the People's Choice Award shall begin.

The award ceremony will attract restaurants/hotels owners and chefs and celebrities from food, fashion and the Bollywood fraternity.
