BIG STAR Entertainment Awards Garners BIG TRP For Star Plus

Highest ever ratings received by any televised event in the past six months across Hindi GECs.

BIG STAR Entertainment Awards, India's FIRST Entertainment awards that honors entertainers across genres viz. Movies, Music, Television and Sports, marked the beginning of a new era in Indian entertainment. Dazzling and entertaining the viewers by ushering in 2011 in true bollywood style, the show garnered highest ratings received by any televised event in the past 6 months across Hindi GECs. Aired on Star Plus on New Years Eve, the BIG STAR Entertainment Awards recorded an average TVR of 5.78 in the CS 15+ HSM. In the CS 4+ segment, the property delivered a TVR of 5.51.

With all the glitz, glamour and performances by Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Rani Mukherjee  & the Golmaal team, Arshad Warsi & Shreyas Talpade, the show reached its highest peak at 10.45pm with stupendous TVR of 8.8 in the CS4+ HSM's. This is the first ever true people's choice award right from the nomination's to the final winners.

The event created a lot of buzz and witnessed the biggest names in Bollywood - Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Arbaaz & Malaika Arora Khan, Karan Johar, Dharmendra, Rishi Kapoor, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, Vipul Shah,  Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigaam, Kailash Kher, Tushaar Kapoor & Ekta Kapoor grace the show with their presence.

The property conceptualized & executed by RBNL's experiential marketing arm, BIG LIVE, saw  amplified promotions across its verticals, viz. India's No. 1, 45 network Radio Station 92.7 BIG FM, out of home wing – BIG Street, and its digital initiative, BIG Digital.  The show was produced by BIG Productions.
