Saatchi & Saatchi strengthens Mumbai planning team

Agency appoints Hari Ganesh Desikan as Senior Planner to work on the Pampers brand among others

Saatchi & Saatchi India has appointed Hari Ganesh Desikan as Senior Planner in its Mumbai office. He will be responsible for regional planning for Pampers as well as some other key brands.

Talking about the appointment, Nisha Singhania, GM, Saatchi & Saatchi, Mumbai, said, “With Hari joining the planning department in Saatchi Mumbai, we now have a truly fantastic team of planners with a diverse set of experiences and talent. I wish Hari all the best and look forward to him helping create some Lovemarks for us.”

Kavita Kailas, Vice-President – Planning, Saatchi & Saatchi Mumbai, said, “We are very excited to have Hari on board. Along with rich experience across categories, his forte is infusing fresh thinking into brands, which will be of immense value to clients.”

Desikan has more than 10 years’ experience in marketing, brand management and advertising. Having started his career as a sales engineer for Siemens India, he later moved to Trigger Jeans as Brand Manager, and played a key role in reviving the brand’s fortune. Stepping into the agency side six years ago, Desikan has worked on multiple brands. He has worked with ell-known agencies such as Hakuhodo Percept, Ogilvy & Mather and TBWA\India, and serviced brands like CavinKare, Henkel, Panasonic and Odyssey among others.

His last assignment was with a Chennai-based brand communications startup, Gutfeel, as Co-Founder and Partner – Strategy.
