Star Plus & Colors grow; Sony inches closer to Zee TV
Post IPL, riding on big ticket shows, Hindi GECs witness growth in TRPs in the week 23 of TAM 2011.

With the end of IPL season, almost all the Hindi general entertainment channels launched big ticket reality shows in the 23rd week. And, as a result, all the GECs have witnessed growth in their viewership.
India's No.1 Hindi general entertainment channel Star Plus has managed to add a few GRPs in the 23rd week of TAM 2011. The channel has recorded 289 GRPs this week (last week 283).
The second most watched Hindi GEC Colors has also attracted more eyeballs this week. The channel has recorded 245 GRPs on this week (last week 230).
The No.3 Hindi GEC Zee TV has shown a jump of just 2 points in its GRPs this week. Its GRPs now adds up to 183 points on TAM people meters in the week 23 (181 GRPs last week).
After adding 34 GRPs last week, Sony Entertainment Television has again shown a robust performance by adding 12 points this week. The channel's new fiction property Bade Achche Lagte Hain has given the channel a chance to become the No.3 channel again. Sony has recorded 181 GRPs which is just two points behind Zee TV (last week 169).
SAB has also shown a considerable growth this week and recorded 147 GRPs (last week 128).
No.6 player Imagine TV too has been able to attract more eyeballs this week and recorded 85 GRPs in 23rd week (last week 70).
Star One has garnered 37 GRPs (last week 40). Sahara One is at 27 GRPs (last week 32).
