The current tie-up has been strategically formulated to strengthen the distribution and cater to a larger audience with a key focus on the Southern India markets.

The Indian DTH market is witnessing a strong growth and is expected to attract a large number of subscribers in near future. It is witnessing aggressive subscriber acquisition from the rural areas, small towns and three tier cities. The DTH subscriber base in the country is expected to grow at a CAGR of around 14% during 2011-2013 to reach 35.7 Million by 2013 (Source: RNCOS latest research report). Out of 6-7 major players in Indian DTH market, HomeShop18 is already available on five leading players - Airtel Digital TV, Big TV, Dish TV, Sun Direct and Videocon D2H and covers maximum DTH subscriber base.

Recent tie up with Sun Direct reaching over 6.7 million households will facilitate HomeShop18 to strengthen its reach across India, especially in Southern markets, making a good footing in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. To cater to the customers from these cities, HomeShop18 is expanding its call centre operations to handle calls in different languages and growing its logistics reach in order to sustain its promises to its customers of free home deliveries, money back guarantee etc. Now customers of Sun Direct will be able to shop from a wide range of products from home & kitchen, mobiles, electronics, home appliances, toys, beauty products and many more, without stepping out of home.
