UTV, South Asiaâs largest Media and Entertainment Brand announced the launch of UTV Movies International in East Africa. UTV has tied up with Tristar Media Marketing for launch in the region on cable.
UTV Movies will reach out to the ethnic community in the COMESA (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa) countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Sudan, Zambia & Malawi.
With this development, UTVâs broadcast footprint now encompasses the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates and South-Eastern Africa.
UTV Movies has the inherent advantage of being the only Hindi movie channel coming from the countryâs largest motion picture studio. The channel has the distinct advantage of possessing a young and fresh library of Bollywood film content which is in demand across the entire Middle East region.
