Candid Marketing, India's No.1 Strategic Brand Activation Agency executed an activity for the NGO 'Save the Children' during this Mother's Day. The idea was to sensitize the audience with the prevalent issue of millions of mothers giving birth to babies without any support from health workers resulting in casualties every year in India.

Save the Children in partnership with White Ribbon Alliance felicitated health workers who have helped mothers through a safe pregnancy and safe birth. The campaign brought together renowned mothers from all walks of life –films, arts and politics.

Leading to the main event Candid Marketing carried out an activity for two days prior to Mother's Day at major areas in Delhi. The main event on 8th May was held at The Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Center.

The agency through its activation tried to engage the audience for the event, by organizing three different games to increase participation. Each participant were given an option of participating in any of the three games - Word Jumble- Unscramble words, MCQ Round which had questions based on world and Indian statistics on pregnant women & infants. Face the Fact required the participants to plot the infant mortality rate or the current birth rate on a graph or a laptop.

Devika Sharma, Managing Partner, Candid Marketing on this occasion said, “We have held a number of activations for various brands/companies but to be part of this campaign was indeed one of a kind. More than promoting a particular brand, we tried to create awareness for a social cause. We look forward to carry out such activations which could bring a change in our society.”

On this occasion Shireen Vakil Miller, Director for Advocacy, Save the Children, said, “It is indeed sad that on the one hand our country is emerging as a global power and on the other we have shocking statistics on maternal, newborn and child mortality. As a nation we must invest in the health of mothers and children. There is a critical role for female health workers in the fight to reduce maternal, newborn and child mortality. Countries that train and deploy more female health workers have seen dramatic reductions in maternal, newborn and child mortality.”
