Surprise gain for Star Plus, Colors and Sony
TAM data released for week 12 shows all Hindi GECs growing; tougher week ahead.

Hindi general entertainment channels have suddenly seen a good week in terms of TRPs though the world cup is on. After a few weeks, all the Hindi GECs have seen a surprise jump in their GRPs in week 12 of TAM in 2011. However, with the quarterfinals starting today, the GECs are poised to get affected in a big way again.
According to the TAM data released for week 12, the No.1 Hindi general entertainment channel Star Plus has crossed 300 GRPs after 4 consecutive weeks. Star Plus has garnered 305 GRPs this week (last week 275).
The only gainer in the last week Colors has added 22 more GRPs this week. The second most watched Hindi GEC in the country has garnered 257 GRPs (last week 235).
Zee TV has got a very little jump this week and recorded 207 GRPs in the 12th week of TAM 2011 (last week 203).
World premier of the mega movie 'Robot' proved as a booster for Sony Entertainment Television. The movie was premiered on 13th March, Sunday which helped Sony to add 50 GRPs this week. The channel which regained its 4th position last week, has recorded 183 GRPs in the 12th week of TAM (last week 133).
SAB has recovered a bit this week and recorded 136 GRPs this week (last week 124).
The No.6 player Imagine TV has also gained a few points to take its GRPs at 73 this week (last week 69).
Star One has garnered 36 GRPs (last week 34) while Sahara One is at 27 GRPs (last week 25).
