Behind the Poster: First look of Shor in the city

Balaji Motion Pictures kick-starts the campaign for its black-comedy – Shor in the City with a unique poster.

Fresh out of the success of Love Sex aur Dhokha & Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, Balaji Motion Pictures kick-starts the year 2011 with a black-comedy – Shor in the City, which releases on April 28th, 2011. Balaji has just revealed the first look of the movie and released the poster.

Shor in the city is a gritty, grounded film that revolves around three loosely interconnected stories, set in the midst of the noise and grime of a Metropolitan. The film is a new-age entertainer featuring a wide ensemble cast including American-Asian sensation Sendhil Ramamurthy (Covert Affairs, Heroes, It's A Wonderful Afterlife), Tusshar Kapoor, Radhika Apte, Preeti Desai (former Miss Great Britain) & Nikhil Dwivedi amongst others.

Speaking about the concept behind the poster, Chief Marketing Officer of Balaji Motion Pictures Kanika Saxena said, “The poster is based upon the Graphics, where the live appearance would not be seen, so it's a cool one. Being first of its kind poster, I'm sure that audience will appreciate it. No poster will have similarity and use of various colours would be seen in it. It's a fantastic work which is designed by Marching Ants. We are using Print, Electronic and Online portals as our showcase. This poster is specially designed for mutliplex audiences”.
