Star Plus Reveals Its Vision Of The Future

Introduces multi-screen experience of the channel at Star Parivar Awards at Macau.

BestMediaInfo Bureau | Delhi | February 24, 2011

In June last year, Star India refreshed Star Plus with the tagline ‘Rishta Wahi, Soch Nayi (Old relationship, New thinking)’ to further deepen its bond with viewers.  The channel refresh featured a new Star Plus logo, the Ruby star, along with programming that reflects 'Rishta Wahi, Soch Nayi' – a fresh perspective on life and relationships.

The channel claims that its vision for the future is about being available to you wherever you are, whenever you want and however you want.  Whether you are an individual who is comfortable only with making voice calls on the phone or you are a gizmo savvy technophile always using an ipad or a connected television, Star plus will be there with you whenever you want.

Star Plus’  vision of  being available to its viewers across various media screens is yet another testament to that new brand philosophy ‘Rishta Wohi, Soch Nayi’.

The world is changing at a very fast pace and people are always on the move.  In consideration of this fact, STAR Plus ensures that you don’t miss even a second of your favourite programme. Enjoy your favourite STAR Plus wherever you are as the familiar STAR Plus experience (Rishta Wohi) will now no longer be confined to your living room.

From home, to the office, the market, the college, the bus or train you travel in, the waiting rooms, the jogging track, the gym or even in another country - you name it and you can be rest assured, STAR Plus WILL be there.

Stretching the boundaries of TV watching and enriching your TV viewing experience, STAR Plus will be able to take you beyond just watching your favorite stories on TV screens!

Its first offering in being available wherever, however and whenever is the “Star Plus on Voice” offering, which has daily audio blogs of your favorite characters, catch up of any missed episodes, access to your favorite Star Plus show music tracks, opportunities to meet your favorite STARs or opportunities  to work with Star Plus, plus so much more… STAR PLUS ON VOICE offering is all set to launch at  the Star Parivar Awards venue in Macau. Other offerings will be launched over the subsequent months, but at the venue you will get a first hand sneak preview of what they are building.

Breaking the barrier, STAR PLUS is all set to adopt the following ways while presenting the future of watching TV.

Audio Zone:

Experience Star Plus on voice  – call 505-7827 on the cell phone keypad. Once you get connected, you will experience the exact audio experience as that of the live service including all the elements of STAR plus serials, audio blogs of characters, contests and music.

The small screens :

Pick and play around with STAR Plus applications on small mobile screens like iPhone, Android, Nokia N series touch screen device etc. On entering the application, you will experience live streaming of STAR Plus channel, catch up on the videos of earlier episodes, read about the latest happenings on the sets, be able to post your favorite videos on social networks, rate the content, view images of your favorite STARs, check the schedule of upcoming shows, listen to your favorite tracks and download select pieces of content.

The personal larger screens:

Use personal screens of iPads and Samsung Tab devices which will have all the features included in the mobile version with richer quality of content and personalization options like creating playlists, marking favorites etc.

The “Wow” Zone

Enjoy STAR Plus on Google TV, PS2, Xbox interfaces giving you the “Wow” effect.
